Enjoy this beautiful wedding hosted at St Joe Farm.  Shannon and Ben were great to work with and we certainly appreciate the kind words they shared from their experience here.

All the best to you both!

In planning for our wedding we were not entirely sure how we would find the right space for 200+ people on our particular budget. We needed a DIY option that aligned to our vision of creating a library-themed reception. After visiting St. Joe Farm, we knew that we had found the perfect place for our reception. Because St. Joe Farm is a family-run operation, you do not have the same transactional relationship that you might with a more traditional venue space. What my husband and I valued most was the sense of family, care, and flexibility that St. Joe Farm offered. It became clear that St. Joe Farm is not only a historical space, it is a venue that exudes the Blum family’s love and attention that has been put into refurbishing the barn and the grounds.

Logistically, we were concerned about making our vision come to life. Both the Blum family and Molly Anderson, our coordinator for St. Joe Farm, went out of their way to ensure we were prepared for our celebration. We were given three additional days to set up our tables, arrange the seating, and ensure everything was in position. Molly generously provided countless options for seating, tables and chairs, and rentable decor options that were affordable and fit our theme perfectly. On our set up days, the Blum family would check on us to make sure we had anything we needed and Molly was available as well to help us problem-solve. Additionally, renting out the gorgeous loft space allowed for family with children to stay close to the barn and help us when necessary. With over 300 books on our tables and the flowers and votives prepared, we were finally ready.

Our reception was incredible. It of course helped that it was 75 degrees in July and our guests could wander the beautiful grounds. I had been planning our reception for so long that I had almost forgotten just how stunning the barn truly is to see it for the first time with the lights, decor, music, and, of course, tables filled with our books. Our guests who were from all over the country said they had never been to a venue like it, even those that had previously attended barn weddings. As they left at night with arm fulls of books and flowers, I knew we had made the right decision.
St. Joe Farm is the type of venue you can adapt to fit your vision regardless of your budget. The possibilities are as endless as the care you will receive from the St. Joe Farm staff. Thank you St. Joe Farm for all you did and all you do for others to make their events memorable and filled with joy.
